Closed IV International Conference on Energy Efficiency

The 4th International Conference on Energy Efficiency held in Teslić that gathered about 200 international, regional and domestic experts in this field, as well as representatives of public and scientific institutions, was officially closed.


On the first day of the Conference, two panel discussions addressed very important topics: Financing of energy efficiency measures and Energy efficiency and climate change, whereas improvement of legal framework in the field of energy efficiency was discussed on the second day of the Conference.


Minister of Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of Republic of Srpska, Srebrenka Golić, pointed out that this Conference was important for exchange of experiences and discussions on legal, technical and economic aspects of energy efficiency in buildings and stressed the need to raise public awareness on impact of energy efficiency on climate change mitigation.


Minister Golić presented Certificates of Appreciation to Adam Drosdzol, Director of Bosnia and Herzegovina Office for KfW that provided a grant of 10,000,000 Euro to Republic of Srpska for the energy efficiency project, as well as to the representatives of the UNDP, GIZ, the World Bank and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in BiH.


Certificates on completed training “NovEE RS buildings – for savings” were presented to the participants who successfully completed the training organised by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of Republic of Srpska with the support of GIZ.


The two-day conference, held on 2nd and 3rd October at Hotel “Kardial”, was organized by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology in cooperation with UNDP, GIZ and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency of Republic of Srpska.
