PHI Hospital Zvornik

The intended use of the facility is public health institution.

The facility of a free-standing type, solid construction, variable number of storeys GF+1-LF+GF+3 and it consists of four (4) wings that make a unique functionally shaped unit together.

The construction itself happened in a few phases since 1955 when the wing A was built to 1975 when the wing B was built.

The total net floor area of the facility is around 4,531.00 m2.

The total number of users is 10,834 on annual level.

Before implementation of energy efficient measures, average indoor temperature in the facility was around 17.5°C, whereas after performed retrofits, indoor temperature has reached the projected 21-22°C.

The following energy efficiency measures have been implemented within the facilities of PHI “Hospital Zvornik”:

  • external walls thermal insulation
  • replacement of external windows and doors
  •  thermal insulation of attic structure/pitched roof of the facility
  • heating system retrofitting (installation of thermostatic valves, heat pumps and other)

Objectives

  • reduction of energy consumption
  • reduction of CO2 emissions
  • reduction of energy overhead costs
  • increase of comfort indoors
  • raising awareness on importance of energy efficiency

The total energy savings expected on annual level are around 50%.
