The intended use of the facility is a public educational institution – elementary school.
The facility is of an indented shape, permanent type, solid construction with number of storeys GF and GF+1 covering net floor area of 2,333.00 m2.
The facility was built in 1979, whereas the extensions on eastern and western sides were completed in 1984.
The total number of users on annual level is 852.
Before implementation of energy efficient measures, average indoor temperature in the facility was around 15°C, whereas after performed retrofits, indoor temperature has reached the projected 20°C.
The following energy efficiency measures have been implemented within the facility of Elementary School “Danilo Borković” in Gradiška:

- replacement of external windows and doors
- thermal insulation of attic structure/pitched roof and replacement of roof cover
- heating system retrofitting (installation of thermostatic valves, heat pumps and other)
- lighting system renewal
